Express Entry is Canada's immigration program designed for skilled workers in Canada or from abroad. It operates on a points-based system, where eligible candidates are evaluated based on factors such as education level, job experience, and language proficiency. The higher their point score, the greater their chances of becoming a permanent resident in Canada.

Eligibility Assessment - Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)

The system is based on a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The system assigns scores to each eligible candidate at time of the registration. Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)
You must meet ALL eligibility below:
  • At least 12 months of skilled work experience in Canada;
  • ​Minimum 3 years of work experience outside of Canada;
  • earned a diploma/certificate in Canada, or a Bachelor's degree;
  • Minimum. CLB level 6

Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
Minimum Eligibility: 
  • At least 12 months of full-time work experience in Canada; 
  • work experience must be gained in a position of NOC level 0, A or B, and
  • diploma/certificate;
  • ​Minimum CLB level 6

Federal Skilled Trade (FST)
For skilled workers who have,
  • at least 3 years of experience in a position that is in the *Skilled Trade Position List
  • a full-time job offer in Canada, OR a Canadian qualification certificated;
  • Minimum CLB level 5.

Provincial Nomination Express Entry
Provinces and territories can also recruit candidates from the Express Entry pool through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to meet local labour market needs. If you received a provincial nomination certificate, and meet the eligibility of Express Entry. You may apply under this pathway to become a permanent resident.
