If you've earned a degree, diploma or certificate from a Canadian University within the past 3 years, you may be eligible to become a permanent resident through BC PNP- International Graduate steam.

Depending on the level of your degree, and where in Canada you earned it, you can choose to apply to one of the following streams:

International Graduate  

You do not need work experience to apply.
Eligibility: 
  • Earned a Canadian degree or diploma (anywhere in Canada)
  • Graduated within the past 3 years 
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree
  • received a full-time job offer from a B.C. employer
  • Minimum CLB 6
  • You must meet all eligibilities set out in the BC PNP guideline for this stream.

International Post-Graduate ​

You do not need a job offer to apply to this category.

​Eligibility requirements: 
  • earned a Master’s or doctoral (PhD) degree in BC within the past 3 years
  • your degree is listed in the Eligible Program 
  • have a job offer from an employer in BC (optional) 
  • You must meet all eligibilities set out in the BC PNP guideline for this stream.

Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

Another transition option for international graduates to gain permanent residence is the CEC pathway under Express Entry

​Your Canadian work experience gained on a Post-graduate work permit will allow you to stay in Canada permanently through the Canadian Experience Class. Your paid co-op terms may also be eligible. You can be graduated in any year and in any city within Canada.

TECH PILOT PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

You must meet All minimum requirements: 
  • your position is listed in the Eligible Tech Pilot Occupations List
  • your job offer must be full-time and at least 1 year in length*
  • bachelor degree or higher
  • CLB 6 or higher
  • at least 1 year of Canadian work experience in the same position 
  • annual wage is $ 40,000 or above
*At the time of application to the BC PNP you job offer must have a minimum of 120 days in reaming.
