Sponsor Your Spouse, or Common-law Partner |
You can sponsor a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner, or dependent child to immigrate to Canada whether they live inside or outside Canada.

Spouse in-Canada Class |
If your spouse or common-law partner are already living with you in Canada, you have the option to apply under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada class. This class has an advantage: your spouse/partner could apply for an open work permit if he or she has valid immigration status; It also has a disadvantage: no right to appeal a negative decision to the Immigration Appeal Division. We can advise you on choosing the appropriate sponsorship class that best suits your particular situation and immigration needs.
